Take a closer look while playing

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your objective

Solve the Sudoku and make the digits on each arrow path sum to the digit in its circle. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Notice how the game responds to your input.

Work through the instructions

  1. Select an editable cell.
  2. Enter a value using the keypad or keyboard; Notes stores candidates.
  3. Read the region, cage, arrow or outside clues alongside the normal constraints.
  4. Check entries verifies the completed board; Undo reverses your last input.
  5. New puzzle selects another included puzzle.

The controls to know

Click or tap cells and the digit pad. Use Notes, Undo and Reveal selected. Large boards scroll inside the game. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Look at the feedback after the action.

A closer look at one example

A circle 7 may have an arrow containing 3 and 4 when the normal Sudoku rules also allow it. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Keep the controls nearby.

One detail worth checking

A full board must obey every extra rule. Reveal supplies assistance; it is not an earned deduction. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
